To better serve or customers and the market place, Dana Corporation’s Heavy Vehicle

Technologies and Systems Service (HVTSS) division is pleased to announce the following

changes to select axle end fitting part numbers and the process for ordering these numbers.

Effective immediately, we have changed the part numbers of select axle end fittings to better

align with the numbering scheme with all other Spicer® end fittings. Attached is a cross

reference chart from the old part numbers, formally used by our Henderson, Kentucky axle

facility, to the new numbers. The “Henderson type” part numbers will no longer be recognized

by our system. Please make these part number changes in your system and begin ordering

using the new numbers immediately.

Certain Henderson numbers were identified as obsolete and have been superceded to a “half

round” configuration end fitting. To incorporate this new configuration it is necessary to replace

the universal joint kit on the mating end of the driveshaft and will also require the appropriate

strap and bolt kit identified in the last column of the cross reference chart. This change will

allow the driveshaft to properly mate with the new end fitting.

Additionally, oil seals were often include with end fitting that were shipped from the Henderson

facility, but will no longer be included. Oil seals are now required to be ordered separately

using their respective original OEM part numbers.

Finally, these part numbers must be ordered through our Holland, OH Customer Service

department. The Henderson, Kentucky Customer Service department has been consolidated

into the Holland, Ohio group.
